Short Biography

Michele Gullino completed his bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Torino(2020). He went on to earn his master's degree in International Horticultural Science from the University of Bologna (2023). After Graduation he work in the Ecopom Lab, where the focus was on Precision Orchard Management strategies to size fruits directly on the plat using Computer Vision Systems.
Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Food Engeenering and Biotechnology at the "Sensing Technology Lab" at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, in collaboration
with Laimburg research center and Ecopom.

Michele Ph.D. is partially supported by the European Union Next-GenerationEU (PIANO NAZIONALE DI RIPRESA E RESILIENZA (PNRR) – MISSIONE 4 COMPONENTE 2, INVESTIMENTO 3.3 – Decreto del Ministero dell'Università e della Ricerca n.352 del 09/04/2022) whithin the Food Engeneering and Biotechnology Ph.D program at UniBz and co-founded by Laimburg. His primary focus is on designing, developing and testing in open field Stretchable Electronics: strain sensor to continuosly monitor Apple fruit growth.
