Short Biography
Elia Scattolo is currently working in the Ph.D. program at the Sensing Technologies Lab of Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, in collaboration with Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Trento. His research proposal is to couple plasmonic structures with photodetectors with internal gain (SPAD) in order to enhance their efficiency out of visible spectrum. During his master thesis project, he worked on chemo-resistive gas sensor for air pollution; previously, he completed his Bachelor (2014-17) and Masters (2017-19) in Materials engineering and Nanotechnology at Politecnico di Milano, winning the scholarship Roberto Rocca for talented student.
